Saturday, June 6th, 2009: Weaver Cracks 5 Hits
5 hits in a game doesn't happen every day. Aurora's Chris Weaver had a very special day against the Cyclones when everything came together for him and he did just that -- collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats -- and led the Aurora Borealis to a 13-2 win at Northern Lights Park.

"I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Weaver said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em."

C. Weaver singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off S. Miyamoto in the 7th.

In 2009 Weaver has produced 69 hits in 217 at-bats for a .318 average with 5 home runs and gotten on base at a .385 clip.
Friday, June 5th, 2009: Charleston Center Fielder Out
Orlando García and the Charleston Statesmen got a bad break in today's game against the Trendsetters as the team confirmed he will miss 8-9 weeks with a torn back muscle. The Statesmen center fielder suffered the injury making a defensive play. The team doctor is confident he'll make a full recovery.

García is batting at a .324 pace in 2009, picking up 70 hits in 216 at-bats with 8 home runs, 20 RBIs and 39 runs scored.
