Saturday, July 5th, 2008: Hot Bat of Kelly Burns Nutmeggers
Michael Kelly really sizzled at the plate in today's 9-6 win over Nutmeggers. The San Antonio third baseman blistered Connecticut for 5 hits in 5 at-bats.

"Kelly was too tough to get out today," the Nutmeggers skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too."

M. Kelly singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off S. Seki in the 8th.

In his stats this season, Kelly has posted a batting average of .362 with 110 hits in 304 at-bats, 12 home runs and 50 RBIs. He has also scored 43 runs, walked 27 times and compiled a .411 OBP.
