 | Sunday, July 13th, 2008: Gagné Strokes 5 Hits During a player's career, there are days that stand out, and this day was definitely special! Dominic Gagné went 5 for 5 against the Arlington Bureaucrats at Wembley Stadium and the Underground picked up a 10-6 victory. He exclaimed, "What a day! We win and I get 5 hits! Couldn't be better!" The delighted third baseman was really enjoying the happiness of the moment in the press room. "He was patient up there today," the London skipper told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly agressive. Gagné has a tendency to go after some bad balls sometimes." D. Gagné singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 8th and singled in the 10th. In 2008 Gagné has hit at a .251 clip with 83 hits, 10 home runs, 42 RBIs and has scored 41 times. |
