 | Monday, July 14th, 2008: New Jersey Trades Yuan to Yuma for Matos The New Jersey Hitmen have parted ways with 27-year old starting pitcher Xue-qin Yuan and a 7th round draft pick, sending him to the Yuma Bulldozers for 31-year old starting pitcher Rafael Matos. The Hitmen general manager confirmed the deal in an announcement this morning. Yuan in 2008 has fashioned a 3-8 mark, 6.31 ERA and thrown 81.1 innings in 15 starts. Opposing clubs are batting .328 against him. So far this season Matos has compiled a 6-7 record with a 5.71 ERA. |
