 | Monday, July 14th, 2008: Calzones of Laredo and Nutmeggers Agree to Deal The San Antonio Calzones of Laredo have finalized a deal with the Connecticut Nutmeggers for the services of 29-year old left fielder Roberto Rodríguez and 29-year old shortstop Charles Randall. In exchange, the Nutmeggers will receive 29-year old second baseman Miguel Angel Hernández, 36-year old second baseman Kunimichi Kato, 29-year old reliever Jacob Dotson, 37-year old left fielder Lorenzo Ramírez, a 1st round draft pick, a 2nd round draft pick, a 3rd round draft pick and a 4th round draft pick. This year Hernández is hitting .276 with 2 home runs. In his season totals Rodríguez has 11 home runs and a .267 batting average. |
