 | Monday, July 14th, 2008: Morales and Fisher Swapped The rumor has been going on for a while now, but today it was made official. The Manchester Maulers sent 33-year old starting pitcher José Morales, a 2nd round draft pick and a 5th round draft pick to the San Antonio Calzones of Laredo for 29-year old starting pitcher Gary Fisher, 23-year old center fielder Manny Lara and 25-year old minor league starting pitcher Tekkan Terada. Officials from both teams seem to be pleased with the deal. So far this year Morales has a 7-5 record with a 2.93 ERA. In 2008 Fisher has a 4-4 record with a 4.04 ERA in 15 starts. |
