Thursday, July 17th, 2008: Scott Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits
If the Florida Featherheads know how best to pitch the Kentucky right fielder Oliver Scott they didn't tip their hand today. Instead Scott showed he knew how best to hit them as he easily handled Featherheads pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Thoroughbreds to a 8-7 triumph at Churchill 1.

He told SION reporters in the postgame interview, "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball."

The Florida skipper quipped, "Well, the next time we may just do that...blindfold him...and then pitch him differently, just to be sure."

O. Scott singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off B. Ellis in the 9th.

This season Scott is batting .262 with 3 home runs.
