In the postgame interview, he said with a smile, "Not a bad day at the plate...5-7...wish I could do this more often. It would do wonders for my batting average...and my salary, too."
A. Benítez hit a solo-shot off T. Palmer in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
This year Benítez is batting .342 with 9 home runs. He has scored 64 runs and driven in 70. | |
