 | Sunday, June 1st, 2008: Gloucester-San Antonio Trade: Pexego for Olsen Officials for the Gloucester Fishermen confirmed that they have traded 25-year old first baseman Octávio Pexego to the San Antonio Calzones of Laredo. In return, the Fishermen will receive 22-year old minor league right fielder Eric Olsen, 22-year old minor league first baseman J.J. Johnson, a 2nd round draft pick, a 3rd round draft pick, a 3rd round draft pick and a 5th round draft pick. In 50 games this season Pexego is batting .298 with 54 hits and 5 home runs. He has scored 27 runs and driven in 32. |
