Monday, June 9th, 2008: Underground Lose Rafael Hernández
It took the London team doctor a while to realize it, but closer Rafael Hernández won't simply play through a torn tricep muscle after he got hurt throwing a pitch in today's Maulers-Underground game. At first, it looked like Hernández might be back as early as tomorrow, but now the prognosis isn't quite so good; he's expected to miss at least 10-11 months. A spokesman for the club described the loss of Hernández as a blow, but was confident that he'd be back soon.

This season Hernández has notched 7 saves with 38 strikeouts and 6 walks in 40.1 innings while registering a 2.23 ERA and a 0-0 won-lost record.
