In September Yuma first baseman Yoichi Inoue was named Rookie of the Month in the Sovereign League.
Last month Inoue posted a .302 average with 32 hits, 4 home runs and 18 RBIs.
In 2008 Inoue has put up a .298 batting average with 50 hits, 6 home runs and 23 RBIs.

The Crystal Lake Sandgnats have parted ways with 33-year old catcher Scot Christian and $1,100,000 in cash, sending him to the Yuma Bulldozers for a 2nd round draft pick. The Sandgnats general manager confirmed the deal in an announcement this morning.
This season Christian is batting .256 with 6 home runs. His totals include 40 RBIs and 35 runs scored.
