I threw a lot of strikes," Richard Sewell said. "And the pitches they did get to hit, they didn't do anything with them."
The Allentown Falcons pitcher really got it done in his 1-0 shutout victory over the Providence Spooners, shutting them down on 4 hits. Sewell issued 1 walk and had 6 strikeouts.

Opposing teams have hit .217 against him. |  | Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008: Sánchez Slams 5 Hits for Raleigh 5 hits in a game doesn't happen every day. Raleigh's Edgardo Sánchez had a very special day against the Spooners when everything came together for him and he did just that -- collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats -- and led the Raleigh El Dorados to a 6-5 win at El Dorados Ballpark.
"I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Sánchez said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em."
E. Sánchez singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off P. Thompson in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
Currently Sánchez is batting .356 with 115 hits and 17 home runs.
