Chesapeake Bay's Juan Carlos Rodríguez has mixed feelings about a possible trade. The 33-year-old catcher, when reached for comment on recent trade rumors, replied, "I've made some good friends here. I'm not sure I'm ready to leave."

It appears to be only a rumor, but earlier today, fans around Chesapeake Bay were buzzing with the news that their 30-year old catcher Jason Fontenot had been asking for a trade. "I couldn't imagine him saying bad things about Chesapeake Bay or wanting to leave." said one person.

José Veláquez of the Chesapeake Bay Oysters whitewashed the Jersey City Chillitowners 5-0 in a complete game win, limiting them to 6 hits while chalking up 6 strikeouts and giving up 1 walk.
"Talking to SION writers after the game, his manager said, "He's got the makeup. He's not afraid to challenge guys. José is pretty poised out there. He knows how to pitch and how to use his stuff."
