Roberto Guerrero proved to be just what the Diamonds needed to silence the Hampton bats. He allowed only 3 hits and led Delaware to an impressive 13-0 victory. For the game, Guerrero registered 4 strikeouts and 1 walk.

So far in his young career, Ken Winter has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the American Alliance in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts.
The 19-year-old Hampton Airborne first baseman hit at a torrid .391 clip as he collected 9 hits in 23 at-bats, 2 home runs, 5 RBIs and 4 runs scored.
This season Winter has hit at a .281 clip with 15 RBIs, 6 home runs and 18 runs scored. He has played in 33 games. |
 | Saturday, May 9th, 2009: Hampton's Gómez Will Miss Season
José Gómez will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and stated the Hampton left fielder could miss the remainder of the year. Gómez was injured while making a defensive play in the Airborne-Loggerdoggers clash at Airborne Ballpark recently. Doctors said he has a dislocated shoulder and would be out a minimum of 7 months.
Looking at his 2009 season stats, Gómez has compiled a .317 batting average in 31 games with a .372 on-base percentage, while hitting 2 home runs and driving in 14 runs.
