| Breaking News |  | Wednesday, May 6th, 2009: Smith Shuts out Quebec City Today at Ballpark of Calgary Henry Smith baffled Quebec City batters on 4 hits en route to a 4-0 shutout.
"He was able to keep hitters off balance and got the ball down," said the Stampede skipper about his starter's performance.
Smith had 1 strikeout and no walks in the game.

"What can you say? We didn't hit well," said the Les Échassiers skipper in his postgame comments.
"Hopefully we shake this off and bounce back tomorrow."
McGowan finished the game with 4 strikeouts and 4 walks in an excellent mound performance.
"He pitched real well," his manager said. "Tim made pitches when he had to. He hit his spots and did a great job of mixing in his changeup and using his fastball effectively."
