|  | Wednesday, April 29th, 2009: 5-Hit Game for Hanna It was high-5 day at Ballonists Ballpark, at least for Todd Hanna of the Gatineau Balloonists. He got a lot of high-5's from his teammates for his outstanding hitting against the Edmonton Mall Ratz. Hanna smashed 5 hits in 5 at-bats on his record-setting day, leading his club to a 11-6 win.
His manager said, "Todd was hitting everything. It really was a special game for him."
In the other dugout the opposing manager told BNN beat writers, "He ambushed my boys today. Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but luckily, tomorrow is another day. Hopefully it will be our day to shine."
T. Hanna singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, walked in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off D. Carroll in the 9th.
In 2009 Hanna is hitting .358, batted in 15 runs with 2 home runs and 24 runs scored. |  | Monday, April 27th, 2009: Balloonists García Tames Edmonton Alejandro García put a hex on Edmonton in a sparkling 4-0 shutout performance, mesmerizing them on a 5-hit gem.
"I feel good physically," he said. "Everything's comfortable. You should pitch well when that's the case."
It was anything but comfortable for Edmonton.
"García used his changeup very well, very effectively," the opposing manager said. "He threw it in hitter's counts."
The Gatineau Balloonists hurler fanned 4 and walked 2.
García has made 5 starts so far this year and put up a 4-0 won-lost record with a 2.43 ERA.
