| Breaking News |  | Tuesday, May 12th, 2009: Street Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak
At Triad Ballpark today Ensenada right fielder Brendan Street stretched his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 1 hit against the Chula Vista Chargers. However, the Cenicienta del Pacifico came up short on the scoreboard and lost the game 4-3.
B. Street flied out in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 6th and walked in the 8th.
This year Street is batting .420 with no home runs. He has scored 7 runs and driven in 8. |
 | Saturday, April 25th, 2009: Ensenada Blanks Escondido Behind King
Ensenada was pleased to see so many goose eggs up on the scoreboard today as Chet King blanked Escondido 5-0. He stopped them on 3 hits with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts.
His skipper said, "Once he gets in a groove, he can be dynamite. He was on top of his game in this one."

The top batter in the Baja Cali League last week was Roger Peoples, who batted .480 and towered above everybody with a 6-game hitting barrage.
During the week Peoples banged out a .480 batting average (12-25), no home runs, 7 runs batted in and scored 4 runs.
Today the Ensenada first baseman received the BCL Player of the Week Award.
This year Peoples has hit at a .313 clip with 64 RBIs, 3 home runs and 43 runs scored.
