At Frontier Ballpark today Cheyenne shortstop Manny Flores stretched his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 2 hits against the Drumright Tornadoes. However, the Frontier came up short on the scoreboard and lost the game 7-1.
M. Flores singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 6th and flied out in the 8th.
This year Flores has no home runs and a .358 batting average.

 | Wednesday, May 27th, 2009: García Belts Bunch of Base Hits
Ricardo García had an answer for everything the Drumright Tornadoes threw him today in the Bismarck 23-4 triumph at Battleships Ballpark. He made good contact 6 times and 6 times he drilled the ball for a base hit.
The Bismarck right fielder went 6 for 6 in the game to put his name in the record book.
Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, García said, "I just see the ball and I hit it."
R. García doubled in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, singled in the 9th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
This season in 30 games García is batting .313 with 1 home run, 11 RBIs and has scored 17 times.

 | Tuesday, May 26th, 2009: Huffman 5-5 Against Tornadoes
Today the Dockhands downed the Tornadoes 7-5 as Dennis Huffman sprayed hits all over Ballpark of Portsmouth in a 5-hit explosion, finishing with 5 hits in 5 at-bats.
The Portsmouth second baseman said to reporters in the postgame interview, "It makes it easier if you get a good pitch. The odds are in your favor then, not the pitcher's. I got a bunch of very pretty pitches to hit today and I didn't miss any of them."
D. Huffman hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off T. Lawrence in the 9th.
Huffman is presently batting .275 with 2 home runs, 15 runs scored and 14 RBIs. His OBP is .326.
