| Breaking News | | Friday, July 3rd, 2009: Ríos Fires Shutout in Nampa Victory An efficient outing for Héctor Ríos usually means a win for Nampa. Today was no exception, as the 26-year-old starter held Middle Bass to a long line of goose eggs. He struck out 4 and gave up 5 hits in the 6-0 shutout.
This season Ríos has compiled a 6-4 mark, 3.34 ERA and made 10 starts. | | Tuesday, May 26th, 2009: Alba Slaps 5 Hits Joaquín Alba of the Helos was unstoppable in today's 5-4 victory over the Middle Bass Vintners at Helos Ballpark. He battered them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats.
"Boy, I was on the mark today," said the Columbia first baseman after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-5 won't hurt your batting average like 0-5 will."
J. Alba doubled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
Alba's current batting average stands at .343 and he has chalked up 2 home runs and 10 RBIs. | | Tuesday, May 26th, 2009: Daisen Goes 5-5 Against Middle Bass It was a parade of hits for Roku Daisen of the Columbia Helos... one right after another... a total of 5 for the day.
