| Breaking News |  | Thursday, April 9th, 2009: McDonald Hurls Big Daddies to Shutout Win A masterful pitching performance carried the Indiana Big Daddies to a 7-0 victory over Marshall. Kevin McDonald held them scoreless in a complete-game effort. He permitted 4 hits, had 5 strikeouts and allowed 3 walks.
The skipper of the McConaugheys said, "McDonald was sharp. We never did figure him out."
This year McDonald has gone 5-1 with an ERA of 2.69 and has 45 strikeouts in 60.1 innings. |  | Sunday, April 5th, 2009: McConaugheys Chill Meléndez's Hot Streak David Meléndez of the East Carolina Sea Dawgs came up empty at the plate today and went hitless in 4 at-bats. That put a quick end to his 20-game hitting streak. To make matters even worse, East Carolina dropped the game to the Marshall McConaugheys 12-5.
In a post-game comment Meléndez told the press, "It was not a good day today. We lost the game and the streak is over."
