It definitely turn out well for Inoue today as he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats against Neo-Tokyo. It turned out well for his team, too, as the Mighty Mecha knocked off the Akiras 8-1 at Mighty Mecha Ballpark.
M. Inoue singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off T. Durango in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off M. Adachi in the 8th.
So far this year in 36 games Inoue is hitting .291 with 7 home runs, 22 RBIs and 22 runs scored. |  | Saturday, June 20th, 2009: Daikawa Shuts out Neo-Tokyo Nobuhito Daikawa of the Niihama-shi Ghosts spun his magic on the Neo-Tokyo Akiras today. He blanked them 4-0 on 5 hits, registering 5 strikeouts and no walks.
"The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Daikawa said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down."
Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, the Niihama-shi skipper said, "We got solid pitching, good defense and we took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations. This was just a solid performance by everyone."
Up to now Daikawa has recorded a record of 4-1.
