Luchadors de las Calles officials presented Ángel Flores to members of the local print media today as their new starting pitcher.
The deal, worth $23,485,000, guarantees the 30-year-old a home in La Vega for 5 years. It should improve the ballclub, assuming he plays to his potential.
Lifetime Flores has 13 wins and 10 losses and a 3.33 ERA.

Tetsuo Okazaki of the La Vega Luchadors de las Calles was firing on all cylinders against the Baní Depredadoras del Peravia. He blanked them 6-0 on 6 hits and posted 10 strikeouts and no walks.
This season Okazaki has crafted a 5-3 mark with a 2.84 ERA in 57 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .198 against him and he has 54 strikeouts.

In an outstanding mound performance, Ángel Flores of the Baní Depredadoras del Peravia scuttled the La Vega Luchadors de las Calles 3-0 on a 2-hit shutout, ringing up 4 strikeouts and giving up 2 walks.
"He's got great stuff and good movement," the La Vega manager said after the game.
"He threw a lot of breaking balls. He made adjustments. We just couldn't figure him out today."
So far this season, Flores has logged a 3-3 record with a 3.10 ERA. He has started 6 games, hurled 40.2 innings and registered 33 strikeouts and 18 walks.
