"Don't believe everything you hear." was the word from the team's ownership group after rumors of Gary Fisher wanting out of Manchester surfaced late yesterday. No one knows exactly how this news broke and Fisher laughed it off when told of the story.

Javier Reyes of the Manchester Maulers is probably going to miss a day or two as a result of a tender shoulder that doesn't seem to be getting better quickly.
"I feel okay. Not one hundred percent, but I can go if the team needs me," the Manchester star performer said.
The team physician has said Reyes's time off will be about 1-2 weeks or until he can play without pain, but a trip to the disabled list is not likely.
This season Reyes has made 50 relief appearances, pitched 91.1 innings and struck out 75 with a record of 3 wins and 3 losses. He has compiled a 4.73 ERA and saved 0 games.

 | Saturday, August 9th, 2008: Bureaucrats Shut Out Maulers, Bender Winner
Michael Bender of the Arlington Bureaucrats was lights out in a 4-hit whitewash of the Manchester Maulers.
He told SION reporters, "I had my good stuff and it went where I wanted it to go."
He registered 9 strikeouts and 2 walks in shutting out Manchester 8-0.
Currently Bender has a record of 10-6 with 102 strikeouts and 44 walks in 158.2 innings and a 3.46 ERA.
