Breaking News Thursday, January 8th, 2009: Harada Signs with Sandgnats for $11,400,000 In what local scribes are hailing as huge, the Sandgnats inked a $11,400,000 deal with reliever Yoshihiro Harada. Team Officials expect Harada to fill an immediate void on the roster, and felt the deal would make them an instant playoff contender. Thursday, December 18th, 2008: Crystal Lake Sandgnats Carmona to Yuma for Hood The rumor has been going on for a while now, but today it was made official. The Crystal Lake Sandgnats sent 26-year old reliever Markus Shepherd and 30-year old minor league starting pitcher Santiago Carmona to the Yuma Bulldozers for 22-year old minor league catcher Andy Hood and 21-year old minor league left fielder Brad Howell. Officials from both teams seem to be pleased with the deal. Lifetime Carmona has registered a 4-4 record with a 6.14 ERA. Thursday, December 18th, 2008: Crystal Lake Deals Patterson to Reno for Baker A trade between the Crystal Lake Sandgnats and the Reno Tenpinners was made official this morning.
