The Kalamazoo Badgers have finalized a deal with All Star-caliber starting pitcher José Chávez that will extend his stay in Kalamazoo at least 3 years and will pay out $9,930,000.
In 32 starts this season Chávez has rung up a 10-12 record and a 3.40 ERA.

News is coming out of Kalamazoo today that Raúl García and the Badgers have agreed to a 1 year deal. The shortstop will earn $1,200,000 a season.

Team officials were upbeat today as George Crocker signed an extension with the Badgers. He'll be calling Kalamazoo home for the next 4 years and will earn $86,960,000 in salary by the end of the contract.
Thus far in 2008 Crocker is batting .293 with 16 home runs, 78 RBIs and 97 runs scored.
