Friday, September 26th, 2008: Gilberto Ibarra Out for 7-8 Months
Watching Gilberto Ibarra getting helped off the field today at Elderberry Field, fans of the Palm Springs Codgers feared the worst. The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the third baseman will miss 7-8 months with a dislocated shoulder. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. Ibarra suffered the injury running the bases in the game against the Cyclones.
